From 1.7 to 20 qualified inbounds a month

A full diagnosis of where Nyx Wolves’ inbound actually comes from, why a site with 986,000 search impressions a year produces fewer than two real leads a month, and the specific plan to close that gap. Built from 12 months of Search Console data, every website form submission since January, a live technical audit, and an AI-visibility assessment.

target is 20 — a 12× gap

Three numbers define the problem. The site is seen nearly a million times a year. It is clicked 3,337 times — a 0.34% click-through rate. And 86% of those clicks are people typing “nyx wolves” into Google, meaning they already knew the company existed. Strip out brand and the entire organic channel delivers roughly 13 non-brand clicks a month from the top thousand queries.

The headline finding: ranking is not the problem

266 queries rank inside Google’s top 10 with 100+ impressions each and have produced zero clicks — 55,419 impressions of nothing. Nyx ranks at position 3.1 for “top rag development companies in saudi arabia”, position 2.5 for “best crm for training companies france”, position 1.0 for “chatbot development frameworks”. All zero clicks. Every hour spent chasing rankings is being spent on the wrong problem.

The trend is going the wrong way

Impressions peaked in March at 179,328 and have fallen 74% to 46,198 by July, while average position degraded from 10.9 to 21.8. Clicks barely moved through any of it — 350 in March, 241 in July — which tells you the impression spike was never worth anything. Two separate charts deliberately: the two measures are on wildly different scales and putting them on one axis would imply a relationship that is not there.

02

The funnel, end to end

Every stage, normalised to a monthly rate. Search Console covers the last 12 months; the form data covers 7 January to 24 July, so both are expressed per month to be comparable.

Where it actually breaks

It is tempting to read this as a traffic problem. It is not, or not only. The site converts visitors to form submissions at roughly 2.5%, which is normal. It converts form submissions to genuine enquiries at 22%, which is terrible — and that number is a spam-filtering failure, not a demand failure. The deeper break is upstream: the 13 non-brand clicks a month arrive on developer tutorials and programmatic country pages, so almost nobody who lands is in a buying position in the first place.

Where submissions convert, and the keyword question

The form captures no acquisition source whatsoever

Elementor’s only source field is Referrer, and in all 49 rows it holds a nyxwolves.com page — the page the form sat on, not where the visitor came from. No UTM parameters on any submission, no first-touch capture, no landing-page field. For the 37 submissions that converted on /contact/ (76% of all inbound) the acquisition channel is simply unknowable. Any specific keyword attached to a company below would be invented.

Region is inferred locally from IP allocation block, phone country code and email domain — no submitter data was sent to any geo-IP service. India dominates volume (28 of 49) but 8 of those are Nyx’s own tests and 11 are cold pitches. The UAE sent 2 submissions and both are top-grade. Nigeria (6) and datacenter/VPN ranges (4) are entirely fraudulent.

The fraud cluster

Five submissions share an exact browser fingerprint — a frozen Chrome/109 on Windows 10 user-agent — paired with MTN Nigeria IP ranges and outlook.com addresses, submitting near-identical text under three invented identities. This is one actor. Submissions 1687 and 1688 fired one second apart.

Technical SEO audit

46
out of 100

Needs significant work. The fundamentals — canonicals, Open Graph, alt text, HTTPS, server speed — are in good shape. The score is dragged down by scale abuse, a hollow entity, and missing headings on commercial pages.

Audited live on 31 July 2026: robots.txt, all 17 sitemaps, response headers, and six representative pages (homepage, contact, about, an industry page, a programmatic blog page and an editorial post) parsed for metadata, headings, images, schema and render-blocking resources.

Critical

11,947 URLs indexed for a site earning 3,337 clicks a year

The sitemap declares 11,947 URLs, 11,693 of them programmatic /blog/ pages. That is 0.28 clicks per URL per year. Crawl budget, internal link equity and topical authority are all being spread across content that earns nothing.

Fix: Prune hard. Keep the ~150 pages that earn clicks or serve sales; 410 or consolidate the rest.

266 queries rank in Google’s top 10 and receive zero clicks

Across 266 queries with 100+ impressions each — 55,419 impressions total — the site ranks on page one and gets not one click. Ranking is not the problem. Being clicked is.

Fix: Treat this as a SERP-presentation and intent problem, not a ranking problem.

No llms.txt, and the Organization entity is nearly empty

/llms.txt 301-redirects to the homepage. The homepage ProfessionalService/Organization schema carries only name, url and logono sameAs, no description, no address, no founder, no contactPoint. sameAs is the single strongest signal for entity resolution by AI systems.

Fix: Ship llms.txt and a complete Organization entity with sameAs to LinkedIn, Crunchbase, Clutch, Tracxn, DesignRush.

Two core commercial pages have no <h1> at all

/about-us/ has no H1 and no H2s. /industries/hr-recruitment/ — the best-performing commercial page on the site at position 3.2 — also has no H1.

Fix: Add a keyword-bearing H1 to every page; fix the heading hierarchy.

Positioning contradicts itself between homepage and about page

The homepage title says “AI Consulting Firms Delivering Measurable Results” while /about-us/ says “Top Software, Web App Development Company”. The homepage H1 is a third thing again: “Empowering Businesses with Next-Gen AI, Automation & Software Solutions”.

Fix: Pick one category and say it identically everywhere. Generalists do not get recommended by AI.

Warnings

55 stylesheets and 25 render-blocking scripts on the homepage

400KB of HTML before assets, 55 <link rel=stylesheet>, 29 external scripts of which only 4 are deferred. Server TTFB is excellent (72ms on Kinsta + Cloudflare) — the bottleneck is entirely front-end Elementor bloat.

/about-us/ meta description contains broken template text

It reads “We help about design, build & evolve web-based software” — a merge variable has leaked into the copy and it is live in search results.

Thin and truncated metadata on money pages

/contact/ has a 20-character title. /industries/hr-recruitment/ has a 51-character meta description. Both waste the highest-leverage SERP real estate the site has.

Malformed URLs in the indexed set

Four indexed paths begin /https: — double-protocol URLs that should never have been crawled.

A blog post emits "@type": "Off" in its JSON-LD

An invalid schema type is being output on programmatic blog pages, which invalidates that block for every consumer.

No FAQPage, Service, or Review schema anywhere

The three schema types most often surfaced in AI answers and rich results are entirely absent.

/about-old/ is live, indexed and generating leads by accident

A page whose own URL marks it retired produced the MACLINKZ partnership enquiry.

Opportunities

92 AI-commercial queries already rank, 68 of them in the top 10, for 9 clicks total

18,010 impressions of exactly the demand Nyx sells into — RAG development companies, AI vendor evaluation, AI tool pricing — converting at essentially zero.

The best non-brand page is a developer tutorial with no commercial intent

/how-to-install-run-node-react-app-as-an-exe-file/ earns 143 clicks, more than every service page combined. It sells nothing.

/case-studies/ converts partners at 1.57% CTR from position 4.6

Small volume, but the highest-quality behaviour on the site. It is under-built and under-linked.

Nyx publishes the exact content format that wins AI citations — for the wrong countries

The blog farm is full of “Top AI Development Companies in [Bahrain / Kenya / Netherlands]”. That listicle format is what LLMs quote. None of it targets India, the US, or the UAE where the real leads come from.

Passing

  • Server performance is genuinely good — 72ms TTFB behind Kinsta and Cloudflare.
  • HTTPS, HSTS-adjacent headers, X-Frame-Options and X-Content-Type-Options all present.
  • Canonical tags are correct on every page sampled.
  • Open Graph and Twitter Card tags are complete site-wide, with summary_large_image.
  • Zero images missing alt attributes across all six pages sampled.
  • WebP is in use and 46 of 94 homepage images are lazy-loaded.
  • robots.txt blocks nothing important and permits every AI crawler.
  • BlogPosting, BreadcrumbList and Person schema are correctly implemented on editorial posts.

07

AI visibility (GEO / AEO)

37
out of 100

Nyx is effectively invisible to AI assistants in the category it sells into, despite having genuinely differentiated delivered work.

DimensionScoreAssessment
Presence2/10Absent from every “top AI consulting companies” listicle checked for India and the US — the exact corpus LLMs quote when asked to recommend a firm.
Accuracy6/10Profiles exist on Crunchbase, Tracxn, DesignRush, Techreviewer, Trustpilot and Glassdoor, and are broadly correct, but thin and inconsistent on founding year and service mix.
Sentiment7/10Positive where reviews exist — 4.9 on Glassdoor, favourable Clutch reviews — with one Clutch review flagging a project-completion problem.
Position1/10Never surfaces as a named recommendation in category queries. Competitors named instead: Quantiphi, Fractal, Persistent, Coforge, Ksolves, Maruti Techlabs, eSparkBiz.
Completeness3/10Strong differentiators — SCADA for a floating desalination plant, drone computer-vision rail inspection, structured-data RAG — exist on the site but appear nowhere an LLM would find them attributed.
Consistency3/10Entity is fragmented: Clutch lists the firm as “Nyx AI”, Glassdoor as “Nyx Wolves Freelance & Business Solutions”, the site as “Nyx Wolves”. No sameAs ties them together.
The core gap, in one sentence

Searching the corpus that LLMs actually quote — the “top AI consulting companies in India” and “best AI development agency” listicles — returns Quantiphi, Fractal Analytics, Persistent, Coforge, Infosys Topaz, TCS, Wipro, HCLTech, Accenture at the enterprise tier and Ksolves, Maruti Techlabs, eSparkBiz, JPLoft, Wednesday Solutions, 7edge, Tech Exactly, Aloitte at the mid-market tier. Nyx Wolves appears in none of them. An AI assistant asked to recommend an AI consulting partner has no path to this company.

What is blocking it

01

The entity is hollow

Homepage schema declares ProfessionalService and Organization but carries only name, url and logo. No sameAs, no description, no address, no founder, no contactPoint. sameAs is how an AI system knows the Crunchbase, Clutch and LinkedIn records are the same company.

02

The identity is fragmented

Clutch lists the firm as Nyx AI. Glassdoor as Nyx Wolves Freelance & Business Solutions. The site as Nyx Wolves. Tracxn, DesignRush, Techreviewer and Trustpilot each hold a partial record. Nothing ties them together, so no reviews or credentials accrue to one entity.

03

The name is ambiguous

“Nyx” collides with NYX Cosmetics and with at least two other Chennai companies that already appear in Nyx’s own Search Console data. Every mention has to work harder to resolve.

04

No llms.txt

/llms.txt and /llms-full.txt both 301 to the homepage. There is no machine-readable statement of what this company does, for whom, with what proof. On the positive side, robots.txt blocks no AI crawler — GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended are all free to crawl.

05

The proof is unattributed

SCADA monitoring for a floating desalination plant. Drone computer-vision inspection hitting 90% efficiency on railway beds. Structured-data RAG. These are genuinely distinctive and they exist only on nyxwolves.com, where no third party has ever restated them. AI models weight independent corroboration.

06

The irony

Nyx publishes “Top AI Development Companies in Bahrain” and “…in Kenya” — precisely the listicle format that wins AI citations — for countries it has no business in, while being absent from the India and US lists that would actually generate leads.

What I could not test from here

This score measures the inputs to AI visibility — entity signals, third-party corpus presence, crawlability, schema, citation-worthiness — all of which are directly observable. I could not run live prompts against ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity in this session, so the Presence and Position scores are inferred from what those systems are known to draw on rather than measured against their live output. Run the prompt set in a clean incognito session to confirm, and re-run it monthly.

08

The 25 winnable queries to attack first

Ranking between positions 3.5 and 15, at least 250 impressions, under 1% CTR. These already have Google’s attention and convert nothing — the fastest available wins are here, provided the zero-click hypothesis in section 3 is addressed first.

A hard call worth making

Most of that list is geo-programmatic filler — Sweden ERP, France CRM, Malaysia business software. The recommendation is not to optimise it. It is to retire it. Those queries will never produce a client for a Chennai-based AI consultancy, and the pages carrying them are suppressing the domain’s ability to rank for anything that would. Keep the handful with genuine overlap — structured rag, rag on structured data, best llm for agentic ai, deepseek agentic ai, the Chrompet local cluster — and rebuild around those.

The plan to 20 a month

Getting from 1.7 to 20 qualified inbounds a month is a 12× increase. It is not reachable by multiplying current traffic 12-fold, and it should not be attempted that way. It is reachable by changing what the traffic is, fixing what happens when it arrives, and adding two channels that currently contribute nothing.

The assumptions, stated so you can argue with them

ChannelNowTargetArithmeticWhat has to be built
Organic — bottom-funnel service pages0.37~500 commercial-intent clicks/mo × 3% form conversion × 50% qualified12–15 real service, capability and cost pages replacing programmatic filler.
Organic — technical authority content0.23~900 clicks/mo × 1% × 35% qualifiedDeep engineering posts in the structured-RAG and industrial-AI lanes Nyx can actually claim.
AI assistants (GEO/AEO)0.04Citation in category listicles + own comparison pages + entity fixesllms.txt, complete Organization entity, comparison pages, third-party listicle placement, community presence.
Directories & marketplaces0.03Clutch, DesignRush, GoodFirms, G2 profiles + 15–20 reviewsConsolidate the fragmented “Nyx AI” / “Nyx Wolves” identity into one claimed profile per platform.
Brand & direct, better converted1.23Existing ~111 homepage clicks/mo at a higher conversion rateRequired message field, clearer CTA, case-study-led conversion path, careers split out.
Read the arithmetic sceptically

The organic lines assume roughly 1,400 commercial-intent clicks a month against 303 total clicks today. That is a 4.6× increase in traffic and a shift in what that traffic is looking for. It is achievable for a domain that already ranks top-10 for 68 AI-commercial queries — the demand is demonstrably reachable — but it is a 9-month build, not a quarter. The GEO and directory lines are the least certain: both are real channels with poor attribution, so treat the combined 7/month there as a hypothesis to be measured through a “how did you hear about us” field, which does not currently exist.

The cheapest win is not traffic at all

Of 49 submissions, 38 were not real. Removing the fraud template, the vendor spam and the internal tests — all of which are mechanically detectable — would not add a single lead, but it would make the 11 real ones visible and answerable within a day instead of never. Four A-grade leads have been sitting unanswered since January. At the current rate that is roughly 7 qualified opportunities a year being lost to triage, not to demand.

10

90-day execution

Phase 0Week 1–2

Stop the losses

  • Reply to the four A-grade leads sitting unanswered since January.
  • Make the form message field required; add honeypot + reCAPTCHA; block the Chrome/109 fingerprint.
  • Add hidden landing-page, first-touch referrer and UTM fields to both forms.
  • Split careers and partnerships onto their own routes.
  • Move staff QA off the production form.
Phase 1Week 1–6

Fix the foundation

  • Publish llms.txt and a complete Organization entity with sameAs.
  • Add H1s to /about-us/ and every /industries/ page; fix the leaked template text.
  • Settle on one category sentence and use it identically on site, LinkedIn, Clutch and Crunchbase.
  • Audit the 11,693 blog URLs; keep what earns, 410 the rest, consolidate near-duplicates.
  • Claim and merge the Clutch “Nyx AI” profile into the Nyx Wolves identity.
  • Cut homepage stylesheets and defer non-critical scripts.
Phase 2Week 4–12

Build the money pages

  • 8–10 category pages: AI consulting, agentic AI development, RAG development, AI PoC.
  • 6–8 capability pages built on delivered work (SCADA, drone CV inspection, structured RAG, digital twins).
  • 5–6 cost and evaluation pages, each ending in a scoping offer rather than a contact link.
  • Rebuild /case-studies/ as the conversion asset it is already behaving like.
  • Add FAQPage and Service schema to every one of them.
Phase 3Week 8–20

Earn the citations

  • 6–10 comparison and alternatives pages — the highest-yield format for AI citation.
  • Pitch for inclusion in the India and US “top AI consulting companies” listicles that currently omit Nyx.
  • Collect 15–20 reviews across Clutch, DesignRush and G2.
  • Publish original data — the delivery metrics from real projects are citable and nobody else has them.
  • Answer real questions in the communities where the ICP asks them.
Phase 4Ongoing

Measure the right thing

  • Track qualified inbounds per month, not form submissions and not clicks.
  • Report brand vs non-brand organic separately; the blended number hides everything.
  • Re-run the AI visibility prompt set monthly in a clean incognito session.
  • Watch commercial-intent CTR as the leading indicator; it moves before leads do.
